Sexual Assault Services

Aviva is a Canterbury-based, specialist family and sexual violence agency dedicated to making New Zealand Aotearoa violence-free. They offer an extensive range of integrated, specialist services to support all people, children, youth and adults, to live free from violence and overcome its enduring harms. https://www.avivafamilies.org.nz/ 

The Cambridge Clinic provides free medical services for anyone in Canterbury or the West Coast who has been sexually assaulted, whether recently or in the past. They offer sensitive and appropriate medical advice to male and female adults and adolescents aged 13 years and over. www.cambridgeclinic.co.nz

Safe to Talk is a helpline for people affected by sexual harm. They are available 24/7 for anyone in New Zealand. Their support is free and confidential. 

Selwyn-Based Support

Lincoln Community Care initiates, co-ordinates and provides a range of health and social services to enhance Community well-being on a not-for-profit basis. https://lincolncomcare.co.nz/

Online + Phone 

The Mental Health Foundation have a great list of phone services and online supports. Some of which are 24/7. Click here to find out more. 

The Centre for Clinical Interventions have a suite of modules for different mental health challenges. They are based on CBT and you can work through these on your own with support of a therapist. Click here to check them out.

Rainbow

Gender Minorities Aotearoa are a cross-cultural, transgender led organisation which aims to facilitate health and well-being for takatāpui, transgender, and intersex populations. www.genderminorities.com

Intersex Awareness New Zealand provides information, education and training for organisations and professionals who provide services to intersex people and their families. www.ianz.org.nz

OUTLine is a national service that helps LGBTIQ+ New Zealanders access support, information
and a sense of community. We’ve been operating since 1972, and currently provide
a free peer support phone line and specialist face-to-face and Skype counselling
exploring gender and sexuality for LGBTIQ+ people across Aotearoa. www.outline.org.nz
